Two teenagers have confessed to killing their Spanish teacher because, according to them, she had given them a bad grade. The young men waited for the woman at the school exit, followed her to a nearby park and attacked her with a baseball bat, hiding her lifeless body among some bushes.

In the trial held these days, both young men, aged 17 and 18, have pleaded guilty to homicide and could end up being sentenced to life imprisonment.

The events took place a year and a half ago, on November 2, 2021, in a city in the state of Iowa, in the United States. The two young men killed their 66-year-old teacher and hid her body under a cloth in the same park where they attacked her. Afterwards, they tried to get rid of all the evidence that could incriminate them and went unnoticed for a while, until one of them boasted about the facts through the social network Snapchat.

A friend of theirs, surprised and frightened by what they had confessed, alerted the police and sent them screenshots of the conversation, which led the officers to arrest them.

Willard Miller, one of the two detainees, met with the teacher to try to convince her to change the grade she had given him. Since he did not succeed, they prepared a plan for two weeks to take revenge on the teacher. Miller went to get his friend, Jeremy Goodale, and they ambushed the woman.

They followed her from the time she left school to a nearby park, where the woman had gone in her own car. There they attacked her, hid her body and fled in the victim's car, according to some witnesses who saw them leave.

Miller told the police that he was very angry about the grade she had given him, that he did not like the teacher's way of explaining things and that the grade affected his record. Now he faces a prison sentence of between 30 years and life imprisonment, just like his companion.

Miller is 17 years old and Goodale is 18 and they could spend half their lives in prison, since if they are not sentenced to life imprisonment and manage to be released, they will both be almost around 50 years old.
